Coco Chanel made her name through innovation, and it was in 1925 that she first transformed wool-woven fabrics from sportswear into couture, a heritage that still shines through in this classically Chanel tweed jacket. Woven from a wool, polyamide, mohair and alpaca blend with a silk lining, it carries the tactile richness the house is known for, while the layering element built into its construction adds dimension and texture to what might otherwise be a traditional silhouette, giving the piece a more sculptural, considered feel.
