Crafted between 1986 and 1988, this Boston-style travel bag carries the weight of Chanel's archive in its black calf leather and classic diamond quilting. Gold-tone hardware traces the edges and fastenings, while two top handles and an adjustable, detachable shoulder strap offer a choice of how the bag is carried, whether by hand or across the body for longer stretches. A top zip opens onto a spacious main compartment with an inner zip-fastening pocket for smaller essentials, and a Chanel logo tag confirms its lineage at a glance.

At 60 cm wide, 38 cm high and 23 cm deep, it was built with genuine travel in mind rather than as a decorative gesture, a piece that has clearly earned its years of use through genuine wear rather than display.
