Hermès made their foray into the world of skate culture with a line of skateboards that featured archival designs from the house. Fantastically curated in the multi-colour 'Savana Dance' print by the Ardmore collective, this piece an exceptional find. The beech wood board has a maple wood veneer and is in pristine condition.

This piece sits within Hermès' wider world of objects, where utility is given a carefully considered material and graphic treatment.

It works particularly well as a design object in its own right, bringing texture, colour and a recognisable point of view to its setting.

For those drawn to pre-owned Hermès design object design, the piece is especially effective because its documented materials and proportions remain the focus, giving the original details room to register.
