In 1984, Hermès CEO Juan-Louis Dumas boarded a flight and sat beside Jane Birkin. As she stowed away her straw handbag, the contents fell to the floor. As Birkin gathered her belongings she explained to Dumas that she had not been able to find a leather weekend bag that she liked. It was this series of events which lead Dumas to design the Birkin Bag. Almost 40 years later, the Birkin bag is world-renowned for its quality craftsmanship and intricate detailing. This jaw-dropping Hermès Birkin 35cm is no exception. Crafted from highly sought-after Exotic leather, known for its distinctive appearance, in a calming and beautiful Ceil colour, accented with Palladium hardware.
