Karl Lagerfeld's Boy Brick Lego bag first appeared for Chanel's SS13 collection, a design that captured the house's youthful spirit through its various colourways and pearl embellishments. In 2014, Lagerfeld revisited the concept to create two rare editions in a barcode motif, of which this black and white piece is one. The signature interlocking CC logo sits against the graphic barcode print across the plexiglass shell, closed with a kiss-lock fastening that opens onto a partitioned compartment and an internal zip-fastening pocket for smaller items. A detachable leather and chain-link shoulder strap, measuring 65 cm, allows it to be carried close in the hand or worn crossbody for evenings out and the piece comes complete with its original Chanel authenticity card. Its sculptural, brick-like form makes it as much an object as an accessory.

The clutch is in excellent condition throughout.
