Blue. This trend has been whispering in our ears since the cold season, but it is so addictive and fresh that it's set to run and run all summer long. Unlike red, this deep, intense colour makes a statement without being too in-your-face, but still it turns any garment into something startingly original. No wonder is one of summer’s most prominent hues.

The fun (and versatile) thing about wearing blue is that it really pops against white and is rich and sophisticated with black – which means you're free to add touches of either of those. Or even both. It also plays super nicely with camels and browns. Moreover, it compliments pretty much every complexion, which is also handy.

As we see it, if you're keen on integrating blue tones into your wardrobe you can either embrace it in all its vibrancy or, for the colour-shy, slip it into a piece of jewellery (especially cool if it's vintage jewellery - even if we say so ourselves), a bag or heels.

To celebrate our undying love for this trend, we've created our own mood board - a little blue universe to inspire our readers, complete with some selections from our shop.
