It seems many of our favourite designers have recently decided to adapt to the rougher economic climate of our times, by launching more affordable lines of clothing, easily accessible by all members of the public.
News broke out a few months ago that Balmain was releasing a more affordable line and was to be called Pierre Balmain. The brand that usually sells T-shirts priced at $1,600, will now be replacing those 4-digit price tags with ones around the price of $170 in the new collection, hitting shops in December for Spring 2012.
Balmain is seeing the new collection to be big, setting it on the international market with planned store openings in Hong Kong, Milan, Paris, and Rome. The prices ranges from $170 for a T-shirt, to $1,291 for evening.
And if the Pierre Balmain collection is the luxury you love, but still out of your price range, head to Target on September 13th, where Missoni will be launching a new low-cost, yet totally luxury, collection.
The American budget-friendly retailer has collaborated with one of the most coveted luxury brands in the world to offer 400 fashion and home items, with prices ranging from $2.99 to $599.99, with most items less than $40, according to the retailers themselves, with pieces including everything from dresses to children's clothing to this special-edition bicycle below.
Missoni for Target and the Pierre Balmain collection are not the only places you can afford luxury items with an affordable price tag! On our website, there is a vast range of vintage designer pieces, all with different values and price-tags.
