Paris Fashion Week is over, bringing fashion month to a close for spring/summer 2017. We compiled the bag trends over New York and London, and now it’s time to take note of proposals from Milan and Paris.
Handbags were reimagined playfully, with necklace trinkets seen at Valentino and Hermès, and fanny packs at the likes of Balmain, Stella McCartney, Kenzo, Jil Sander, Givenchy and Marni (perfect for the girl with an iPhone stuck firmly to the palm of her hand). Stripes, white leather, and bags clipped to bags were all aplenty, and the hype for embellishment carried over from New York and London to make it an accessory trademark for the season.
Read on for the official report on bag trends from Milan and Paris spring/summer 2017 showcases, and how to achieve them with the Rewind Vintage collection.
Hard-case silhouettes were seen at Chanel, Louis Vuitton and Dior. In our trove, there’s a selection of Chanel runway minaudières – and a sassy Edie Parker box clutch reserved for a #HotChick.

Moments of coloured python continued through the latter half of fashion month, seen at Louis Vuitton, Dolce & Gabbana, Miu Miu and Givenchy. Shop our latest arrivals of Hermès Kelly Pochette and Cut clutches to get the look, with alligator and Niloticus crocodile editions in fuchsia, brown and electric blue.
Bags rendered in sportscar red were all over Paris catwalks. Add some va-va-voom to your look with red accessories from the likes of Prada, Chanel and Hermès – or a indulge in a hand-painted Louis Vuitton Speedy in Rouge Epi leather, from our Emotional Baggage series.
